Allow to set product stock scope (per website / per store view)

Hi,

Magento have some paradox. This is one (certainly THE) best Ecommerce plateform to make multiple website, multiple shop, multiple all you want with one instance of magento.

However, there is a critical missing feature for people that need to set up multiple site/store with one magento instance: The possibility to change the scope of product attribute.

For example, when you have some ressellers all around the world, they sell YOUR product, with same SKU etc... But they have their own stock. This is actually not doable with magento today without duplicate all products / resellers....

        This feature is a must for Magento. It is really common and it's about time Magento start supporting this functionality.

        I am would like inventory managed via an XML feed from a warehouse management system for ecommerce retail site but not for a Point of Sale site (implemented extension). I would like to set the Point of Sale website to "Manage Stock = No". Does the Multi-Inventory extension allow me to do that?
